Retail Managers Conference
Health Focus Pharmacies holds their first Retail Managers Conference - Western Australia.
Nov 2-6, 2009 saw the first Health Focus Pharmacies Retail Manager's Conference held in Perth & Donnybrook, Western Australia - . The week-long conference was extremely busy, very positive and hugely productive.
The conference was based around the very successful Retail Ready Program run by Symbion. Both Retail Managers and HFP Management were treated to an engaging, informative and enlightening presentation by Malcolm Scrymgeour of Business Increase Group. The program encompassed many aspects of 'the business of Pharmacy' including store presentation. This 'presentation' aspect of the program allowed our Managers to see the store as our customers do and helped to realised the importance of presentation and the need for attention to detail. After this Program all Managers were sure to view their stores in a whole new light.
The rest of the Conference week was followed by information sessions and workshops. These workshops allowed management and managers to discuss issues relating to their stores as well as goals for the future of Health Focus Pharmacies Group. Topics included; Expectations of our Retail Managers; the launch of our new incentive program, designed to provide rewards to the entire team for doing their jobs well; Financial Reporting and adherence to Operations Manual and Procedures and the Quality Care Pharmacy program (QCPP).
The Conference was also a chance to have all our Retail Managers meet one another - some for the first time - and help realise the greater community that Health Focus Pharmacies hope to achieve. For a group of people who had never met, spending 6 days together, is a daunting task. And all attendees are to be congratulated for their openness and hospitality to one another.
Management of Health Focus Pharmacies wish to thank every attendee for their contribution during the week and hope the Conference will provide them with more information and skills to manage their stores and staff.
The next Health Focus Pharmacies Retail Managers Conference is planned for 2010.
